Mumbler of the Year

& Other Stories

It’s me again. Chisa is on holiday in Japan, so you will see more of me these two weeks (excited?)

The brand that I’d like to introduce to you (in case you haven’t heard of yet) is & Other Stories, which is owned by the H&M group. OK, don’t start to think of this as another Zara or Mango because it’s not. I think what makes this brand so special is that it doesn’t follow the typical big retailer formula. Both the web and in-store experiences of & Other Stories are very refreshing; the store is set up in a way that reminds you of a boutique fashion workshop. There’s minimal decorations (white walls, no fancy displays) and you get a sense of experimentalism while browsing through the store. The website is not hard-selling at all, and it is set up like a fashion blog/Pinterest board with tons of fantastic fashion shots that are not overly Photoshopped. What I like about & Other Stories the most is that the things that they sell are of relatively high quality (unlike H&M) AND they are not crazy expensive! The styles are also very sleek and clean, unconventional yet practical. Tip: If you don’t have much shopping budget like me, you should keep an eye on their sales (often up to 50%!)

Here are a few items that I like from this season:

Left: Gold heel pumps (€125); right: leather and curved heel pumps (€95)

Bags & accessories

Left: leather mini bag (€75) ; right: double ring (€12)

Left: love-sleeved laser-cut top (€75); right: Frilly trousers (€75)

Hope you like my picks!
